Volunteer Administrative Assistant

Niamh Lashbrook began working with the British Bobsleigh programme in the build up to the Beijing Olympics.

Niamh assists the Performance Management Group and the Selection Committee at key meetings and is on hand to help Performance Director Mark Silva as and when required.

A keen sportswoman, Niamh competed regularly for the RAF Bobsleigh team, initially as a brakewoman and then as a pilot. She has since moved into a support staff role to help bring through new talent and develop the RAF team.

Niamh was also the Secretary for the RAF Bobsleigh, Luge and Skeleton Association (BLSA), organising all of their overseas events and has now become a Trustee for the Association.

She joined the RAF at 17 years of age and has deployed on numerous operational tours to various locations during her 25-year career, including Iraq and Afghanistan. Niamh is now on her ninth assignment in a senior human resources management role at MOD Corsham.
