Bobsleigh Push Coach

Caroline Gray joined the BBSA as Bobsleigh Push Coach and has been assisting at testing days and development sessions since the summer of 2021.

Caroline (Caz) has been involved with bobsleigh for close to 20 years, having switched from skeleton at her first RAF Novice Ice Camp in 2003.

She was selected for Great Britain’s Europa Cup team for the 2004/05 season and immediately won overall EC silver in her debut campaign.

World Cup selection as a spare followed in 2005/06 but she narrowly missed out on a place at the Olympic Winter Games in 2006 and instead returned to EC duty, where she won a second successive overall silver medal.

Caz raced in both 2 and 4-man events at the British Championships, winning gold in the women’s bobsleigh in 2011/12 and again in 2016/17.

An Avionics Engineer in the RAF, she reached senior management level and served in multiple overseas operations across a 22-year career. She also raced for, coached and managed the RAF Bobsleigh team for a large part of her time in the Services.

After leaving the RAF in 2021, Caz settled near Bath and now works as a Fire Safety Compliance Officer for Curo Housing Association.
