Kane Densley joined the British Skeleton programme in 2019 via the Discover Your Gold talent identification scheme in conjunction with UK Sport and the English Institute of Sport.

Kane previously played for Leicester Tigers at rugby union at Under 16 and 17 level before focussing on athletics prior to his switch to skeleton.

He competed in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) indoor and outdoor championships, medalling twice in the indoor 4x200m relay, and also competed in the 60m at the British Indoor Championships.

Kane has an undergraduate degree in Sport and Physical Education from Cardiff Metropolitan University and has also studied for a PGCE at the University of Warwick with a view to becoming a secondary school teacher.

He made his international debut for British Skeleton in November 2022, finishing 11th in Europa Cup competition in Lillehammer.
