Dave Short joined the BBSA in 2015 and is currently British Skeleton's Programme and Pathway Manager.

Dave leads all logistical aspects of the British Skeleton programme, together with the system that supports athletes from talent identification right through to elite status, and he is also heavily involved in research, innovation and technology.

A key figure at three successive Olympic medals, Dave has played a part in helping British Skeleton win no fewer than five medals across the 2018, 2022 and 2026 Games in PyeongChang, Beijing and Milan Cortina respectively.

Dave is based in Bath at the BBSA headquarters throughout the off season but travels extensively with the team during the winter. 

When not at work, he spends much of his spare time outdoors, with a particular interest in trail running, bike riding and rock climbing.
