Charlie McCall began working with the British Skeleton team in June 2022 and expanded her role to cover the British Bobsleigh programme six months later.
Charlie’s role sees her holistically support athlete well-being/mental health and personal development. She employs a coaching approach to support athletes in managing the balance of life and sport, maintaining and developing a broader identity beyond their sport and planning for the future.
Charlie was the Nearest & Dearest Manager for Team GB at the Milan Cortina Olympic Winter Games in February 2026 and is also the Senior Performance Lifestyle Coach with GB Snowsports, a position she has held since January 2024.
Having originally qualified as a physiotherapist, Charlie worked in the National Health Service and private practice and was the Chief Physiotherapy Officer for the UK School Games from 2014 to 2020. She held the same role with British Universities and Colleges Sport between 2011 and 2016 and was the Deputy Chief Physiotherapy Officer for the Summer World University Games in 2011 and 2013.
Outside of work, Charlie enjoys dancing, lake swimming (including during the winter), running, walking and skiing with her family. Her happy place is the mountains and she has climbed three peaks over 4000m and completed a 100km walk.
