AMHRA DYER-STOTT

British Bobsleigh Athlete

About Amhra

Amhra Dyer-Stott is the newest recruit to the British Bobsleigh programme, having joined the team in late summer 2025.

After considering stepping away from sport, Amhra began working with 2014 Olympic bronze medallist Joel Fearon in Loughborough. Joel recognised his speed-power potential and helped guide his transition into bobsleigh, recommending him to fellow Sochi medallist Bruce Tasker ahead of trials in Bath.

Amhra showed his clear potential early on in the trial process and was subsequently given his first taste of the sport on ice at a training camp in Lillehammer in late October.

Selection to the GB2 team followed, with Amhra making his international debut behind pilot Nick Gleeson in the Europa Cup 4-man competition in Winterberg in December.

In his first season, he raced three times across the 2025/26 campaign, with his best result being a fourth-place finish in the EC 4-man race in St Moritz in late January.

Amhra transitioned into bobsleigh from sprinting, bringing a 100m personal best of 10.65 seconds, which ranked him eighth in the UK at U20 level.

Having seen first-hand how sport can change someone’s direction in life, Amhra is passionate about using his platform to create opportunity, resilience and positive social impact for others.

Outside of competition, Amhra has worked across sport, inclusion and social impact, including with British Triathlon and the Youth Sport Trust.

His leadership and impact have also been recognised through Powerful Media’s Top 150 Future Leaders list and the Harrogate Local Hero Awards. He recently completed a degree in Sport Management at Loughborough University.

As he builds towards the French Alps 2030 Olympic Winter Games, Amhra also documents his sporting journey and transition into bobsleigh on Instagram at @theamhra
