About Brogan

Brogan Crowley made her World Cup debut in Sigulda in the final race of the 2019/20 season and set a personal best of fifth in Igls in the last competition of 2020/21.

She became an Olympian at the Beijing Games in February 2022 when she placed 23rd at the showpiece event of the cycle after laying down a top five start in each of her three runs.

At the end of the 2021/22 season, Brogan had 14 World Cup appearances to her name, with her best result this term a 12th-place finish in Sigulda in December.

Brogan entered the British Skeleton programme through the Power2Podium scheme after seeing an advertisement following the Sochi Olympic Winter Games in 2014. She had always wanted to participate in a winter sport but wasn’t sure what sport would suit her best.

A former Great Britain junior heptathlete, Brogan had been struggling with an ankle injury due to the repetitive nature of the jumping and throwing events within that sport and taking on a new challenge with skeleton came at the perfect time in her career.

She finished fifth on her GB debut in the North American Cup in Lake Placid in March 2016 and she showed her consistency in her first full season on ice by placing in the top 12 in each of her eight EC races. Brogan ended the 2016/17 season with a ninth-placed finish in her first World Junior Championships in Sigulda and was 23rd at her first Senior World Champs in Altenberg four years later.
