About Leah

Leah Kidd began her skeleton journey in 2021 with via UK Sport’s From Home to the Games talent identification campaign.

Leah previously competed regularly in gymnastics, beginning in Derbyshire at age eight and competing regionally with Stockport School of Gymnastics from 11 until 19. Her favourite disciplines were floor and vault.

She competed for the rowing team in BUCS events whilst studying at the University of Salford, from where she graduated with a first class BSc in Sports Science with Strength & Conditioning.

Leah continued her education by studying for a MSc in Pre-Registration Physiotherapy from the University of Central Lancashire at the same time that she first trialled for the British Skeleton programme.

She made her international skeleton debut in the Europa Cup competition in Winterberg in November 2024, finishing ninth in the first of five races in her maiden season on ice.
