About Eddie
Eddie Waring joined the British Skeleton programme on the back of the Find Your Greatness talent identification process that saw close to 3,000 people sign up for the UK Sport led campaign.
After impressing in UK based trials and then out on ice in 2025, Eddie joined the team on a full-time basis in the spring of this year.
Born in Plymouth, but currently living in Pembrokeshire, Eddie has a long-term love of the sea and had already competed internationally before starting his skeleton journey, having surfed for Wales in the Junior European Championships in Portugal when he was 16.
He also played rugby and football and competed in athletics in his youth, representing his county in both the former and running for West Wales in the latter.
Away from sport, he has been a crew member at his local lifeboat station since his 18th birthday.
