About Callum
Callum Dixon competed at the World Championships and on the World Cup circuit in his debut season with British Bobsleigh in 2023/24.
Callum only joined the GB set up during the summer of 2023 after gaining his first experience of the sport via the 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment (2 Para).
He made his international debut at the Europa Cup event in Lillehammer in December of that year, racing four times in a week across both the 2-man and 4-man competitions
He was selected to the GB squad for the 2024 World Championships in Winterberg, where he finished 18th with Adam Baird, Jens Hullah and Austin Millward at the biggest event of the year.
Another milestone followed in the final race of the season as he made his World Cup debut in Lake Placid when he pushed Baird to 14th place in the 4-man.
He spent the 2024/25 season as part of Nick Gleeson’s EC squad and he starts the 2025/26 campaign with Gleeson and GB2 on the North American Cup and EC circuits.
Before switching to bobsleigh, Callum played rugby and competed in both powerlifting and strongman, with his decision to start the latter coming after a parachute accident in Italy resulted in a broken back and massive injuries to his arm.
As an active member of the Parachute Regiment, Callum has done a tour of Afghanistan and was involved in the evacuation of Kabul.
