Strength & Conditioning & Starts Coach
Mitch Smith joined British Skeleton as Strength, Conditioning and Starts Coach in August 2016.
Mitch's role sees him work with the full squad but with particular involvement with the Talent team. Employed through the English Institute of Sport, he also works with British Triathlon.
Prior to starting his current role, Mitch worked with British Rowing at Bisham Abbey until the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.
He completed an undergraduate degree and a masters in Sport Science at Exeter University and his coaching CV also includes a year with the Bath Rugby Academy and time with the senior men's team at Hockey Wales.
A keen footballer in his youth, Mitch has now taken up Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
